Cathi Art Speaks
Cathi volunteers with Art Speaks once a week to assist the artists in creating their masterpieces. She says she truly enjoys the relationships she has built with the people served. When Cathi is there, it is not just like having an extra pair of hands, it's like having a partner.

Rise unlocks potential and opens doors to success for people with disabilities or other challenges through creative solutions and customized support. We are seeking volunteers to assist the people we serve to participate in various enriching community outings. Volunteers may provide one on one support, push wheel chairs, support mobility and be an extra set of eyes during these fun activities.

Examples of community outings include attending the Minnesota State Fair, gardening at the community garden, visits to zoos and museums, volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Second Harvest and humane societies and advocacy at the Capitol.

Description

Rise offers over 40 programs to assist people in meeting their employment and housing goals. These include vocational assessment, career planning, job training, job placement, and follow-up support services as well as outreach to people who are homeless, independent living skills training, and transitional housing. Headquartered in Spring Lake Park since 1971, Rise has 30 offices located in the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, and Western Wisconsin, and we work with hundreds of businesses in those communities.
