This position is an excellent fit for individuals looking to develop skills in nonprofit program management. The Program Intern position will provide support to all aspects of Girls Inc. programs. The intern will gain a broad exposure to the inner workings of a high-functioning nonprofit organization. He or she will assist the Director of Center programs and the program staff in overall administration and logistics of every day programming. The intern will perform work directly related to the general business operations of our center programs.

This position provides a student with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, with potential opportunities for special projects depending on the applicant’s skills.

This position is based out of the Marietta Center.

Description

We are an organization that provides gender specific programming to girls between the ages of 6 to 18 years of age through our afterschool centers and our outreach department. Girls Inc focuses on researching the needs of girls and then developing programs to help girls learn skills to meet these needs and over come barriers that girls face every day. Girls Inc develops programs to help girls in six main areas of their lives: health and sexuality, financial managment, sports and adventure, career and life skills, leadership and community action, and media. Our curriculi is broken down into age appropriate programs and help girls of all ages develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes to be strong, smart and bold girls!
