Make a Difference -- Plant a Tree
Volunteers are especially needed to help water each tree after in is planted with 15 gallons of water per tree

Help 60 plant trees in the Alamitos Beach neighborhood in Long Beach. Volunteers will learn how to plant trees, build tree wells and deep soak the trees to help get them off to a good start. No experience necessary. Please wear closed-toe shoes. You may also want to bring a hat and suncreen. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, please provide supervision for young children.

Come help build the urban forest in Long Beach!

About 60 trees will be planted in the neighborhood bounded by:
Broadway -- North
Ocean Boulevard -- South
Orange Avenue -- East
Alamitos Avenue -- West
Additional trees will also be planted in vacant tree wells along East 4 th Street.

Meeting Location:

Corner of Broadway & Cerritos Avenue

Volunteers of all ages are welcome at this event to help plant and water these young trees

No experience is needed, we will train you.

Can you and/or your organization serve as
Water Brigade volunteers to help water the newly planted trees on planting day?

Volunteers are needed to help make sure each tree is deep watered with 15 gallons on planting day to help them get off to a good start.

Housing and Neighborhood Services Bureau staff will deliver all the trees and tools on planting day.
