Our students will rely on your knowledge and guidance while learning the basics of coding through games and animations. The ideal person for this job will have an outgoing personality, classroom management skills, an eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, and a dedication to helping kids develop coding skills.
You Should Have
- Reliable transportation
- Strong experience working with children
- Strong comfort level with technology (or ability to adapt to new tech areas)
- Ability to clear all background checks from BCA and DHS
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Strong social skills with both adults and children
- Ability to engage teenage girls
Class will be offered after school.

The mission of the DOCCR volunteer program is to encourage and support community Engagement through volunteering with our client populations. Volunteers serve as a unique link to the community for our clients.
Description
The Mission of Hennepin County Community Corrections and Rehabilitation is: to enhance community safety, promote community restoration and reduce the risk of re-offense. Through the engagement of volunteers with our clients and residents we are able to link community resources to assist us with accomplishing our mission.
We have volunteers who volunteer with Juveniles and Adults in Residential Institutions, we have volunteers who assist with Court Services. We volunteers who volunteer in both Adult and Juvenile Field Services.
