Fiberworks Program: Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00pm-3pm & Saturdays 9:00am - 1:00pm
This program provides refugee and immigrant women a place to practice sewing and fiber arts skills, as well as practice and improve their English. Volunteers are needed to help the women with their projects, speak to them in English & help them with their English, provide childcare during the program and help out with craft fairs that Fiberworks participants attend.

Description
The Americana Community Center is located in the South End of Louisville. The South End has a large concentration of varied ethnic groups, with 26 different languages spoken. The Americana Community Center exists to be responsive to the needs of the diverse community by providing language and family based services to refugees, immigrants and other U.S. born citizens.
