Next Move and Francis House have joined forces to provide services to the homeless population in Sacramento. Together they have planned their first joint fundraising event-unhomed.
Referring to a person as "homeless" often stigmatizes them or creates a prejudice for some. Serving the unhomed truly defines what we do at Next Move and Francis House: moving people into a place they can call their own, a place to come home to.
Your assistance is needed for the following:
Set Up 5-6pm:
Help set up tables, linens, stanchions, bathrooms, signage and any other décor.
Remove extra supplies, empty receptacles.
Event Assistance 6pm-9pm:
Ensure all trash/recycling receptacles are adequately spaced; periodically make rounds to pick up trash/empty receptacles/replace bags. Assist in other areas as needed.
Site Recovery 9-10pm
Help break down tables & general site clean up
