Did you know that 49% of our participants spend lass than $125/month on groceries and that 76% of all participants receive food bank groceries at their center on a monthly basis? Volunteer today to make a difference in the lives of others!
The White Settlement Activity & Wellness Center is looking for volunteers to help participants of the center with the distribution of the food bank on the second Friday of the month from 8:45 AM to 1:00 PM. Volunteers will help with unloading donated foods from the local food bank truck, sort food into bags, organize food onto tables, interact with the young at heart, keep the distribution running smoothly, and help overall to give assistance in their lives. Contact Gloria Kuykendall at Sixty & Better at 817-413-4949 ext 211 for more information.
Dates for the second Friday include: September 8, October 13, November 10, December 8, etc.
Opportunities also include every Monday.
