Are you good with computers? Do you want to help immigrants and refugees learn important professional and life skills? Participants at Americana need your help learning their way around today’s everyday tool, the computer.

Spring Computer Class: Mondays February 5th - April 27th, 5:30-6:30 PM
Open Lab Hours: Tuesdays 5-6:30pm

How can you help?

ASSISTANT: Provide support to the instructor of the beginning computer skills course. This will consist of helping with set up, answering questions, and providing one-on-one assistance to students during interactive activities.
Time: Mondays 5:15pm - 6:45pm

LAB ASSISTANT: Monitor open computer lab hours. Assistants will be responsible for opening and closing the lab, signing people in and out, and being on hand to answer questions and assist participants with tasks when needed. Experience with Microsoft Office platforms is preferred.
Time: Tuesdays 5pm - 6:45pm

The Americana Community Center is located in the South End of Louisville. The South End has a large concentration of varied ethnic groups, with 26 different languages spoken. The Americana Community Center exists to be responsive to the needs of the diverse community by providing language and family based services to refugees, immigrants and other U.S. born citizens.
