ORGANIZATION: Youth Tutoring Program

Are you a high school student at least 14 years old? Do you like serving others? Do you want to gain job experience? Are you available at least one hour each week for 6 months to mentor and tutor a younger student in the community?

The Youth Tutoring Program needs dedicated high school students like YOU to be mentors and tutors for students living in six low-income housing communities around Seattle. This is a great way to deeply impact others while completing your service hours!

YTP serves a diverse group of students, many who come from immigrant and refugee families. We match tutors and students 1:1 to foster the best mentoring and tutoring relationships. We focus on skill building so our students can catch-up and get ahead in school.

School year tutoring begins Monday, September 18th!

There is no tutoring experience necessary to be an impactful volunteer! Not only do we train our volunteers to be effective tutors, we provide our volunteers with the tools they need (such as individualized tutor plans and skill-building activities) to make a difference!

Why Volunteer?

-Get service hours

-Gain work experience

-Have fun working with kids

-Network with community members

-Build your college resume

-Make an impact locally
