Be the person who brings peace and comfort to a veteran with cancer: become a hospice volunteer. Volunteers talk with, read aloud to and sit with patients, helping them in their final months of life. As a veteran, you can provide the special understanding that another veteran needs when speaking about his/her experiences. The patient's family also truly appreciates the help! Heartland will train you and walk every step of the hospice volunteer journey with you. The gift of a small amount of your time could bring about accceptance and peace to a veteran nearing the end.

Mission Statement
Heartland Hospice provides quality care to patients with a limited life expectancy, as well as support to their families and caregivers. Formerly known as ProMedica Hospice, Heartland enhances the quality of life of those we serve through palliative and specialized supportive care designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patients and caregivers.
