Environmental Heroes awards banquet volunteers needed!
Resources For Sustainable Communities' annual Environmental Heroes awards banquet will be held on Thursday, September 7th, at the elegant Lairmont Manor near Fairhaven. Our community stands out as a place that’s filled with informed, engaged citizens working to uphold shared values. As a result of these efforts, our community continues to enjoy protected, thriving ecosystems that support life and attract visitors. Our Environmental Heroes awards banquet is a tribute to that work.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to help honor our local Heroes who are doing so much to build and maintain a sustainable, healthy community. It also gives you a chance to meet like-minded people and participate in RE Sources vision of helping people in northwestern Washington to live satisfying lives in accord with the ecosystem we depend on - generation after generation.
We are looking for help with these roles, and would like volunteers to help for 4-6 hours if possible:
Set up - estimated 12pm-5pm;
Experienced beverage and dinner servers - estimated 4pm-9:30pm (ideally, with current serving permits);
Guest parking attendants - estimated 4pm-7:30pm (must be comfortable directing cars);
Break down and clean up - estimated 5:30pm-10pm.
Food will be provided during breaks from volunteer duties. For more information please contact Andy at andye@re-store.org
