We have the following volunteer opportunities available for our ESOL Program:
ESL Teacher: We are looking for an ESL teacher who would like to teach English using songs. 1-2 hours a week. Days and times are flexible.
Volunteers to lead one-on-one conversations: To be arranged between the volunteer and the student.
Volunteer to lead group conversations: One to two one hour sessions per week. Days and times are flexible.
Cabrini Immigrant Services of NYC, Inc. (CIS-NYC) is a multi-service community and faith-based non-profit that provides a broad range of culturally and linguistically appropriate services to immigrants, refugees, asylees, and their families. CIS-NYC meets the unique needs of diverse immigrant populations through supportive services and concrete assistance which encourage economic independence and social empowerment, foster individual growth and development, and promote self-determination for immigrant families, children and youth.

Description
Cabrini Immigrant Services is a community and faith-based agency located in the Lower East Side/Chinatown area of Manhattan. CIS-NYC provides a broad range of legal and social services to low-income immigrants, refugees and their families. We are able to meet the needs of immigrant populations through both supportive and concrete services that encourage economic independence and social empowerment, foster individual growth and development, and promote self-determination for immigrants and their families. Since its inception in 1999, CIS-NYC has served all persons regardless of age, race, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or immigration status.
