Mission Statement
The vision of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement & Lemonade Day serving Elkhart County is to reach every child in Elkhart County with the inspiration of entrepreneurship, fundamentals of finance and the principles of earning, saving and sharing.
Description
In partnership with educators, adult volunteers deliver professionally developed learning activities and share their experiences with students. They are igniting the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work in the 21st century global marketplace.
Junior Achievement programs give pre-kindergarten through high school students the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.
Community volunteers deliver JA’s professionally developed hands-on experiences in classrooms, at JA BizTown and at Lincoln Finance Park. Through every mentoring interaction, caring adults are making economic concepts relevant. They are also fueling the entrepreneurial spirit and they are challenging young people to identify their interests and excel.
