Performances Coordinator

The Performances Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director and manages all performance-related components of VHC events. This is a leadership position which includes planning rehearsals, managing volunteer performers, running tech checks, and coordinating the run-of-show. It’s a prime opportunity to hone leadership skills, gain additional experience in event planning, and meet many of VHC’s volunteers and community members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator, as this role will involve coordinating between multiple groups of people with multiple timelines. Must be located in NYC to manage rehearsals and attend planning meetings. Must also be able to work and communicate remotely via email and Google Drive. Prior experience with event planning preferred but not required.

REQUIRED COMMITMENT

Must be available 3-4 months prior to the event to plan and manage performance rehearsals. Must also be available on event day to oversee execution of performances.
