The mission of the Friends is to support and enhance the value of the Boca Raton Public Library as it serves our community. We stage special events at the library 3-5 times a year, including historical re-enactor speaker presentations and author events.
The Event Planning Manager will work the Friends Board of Directors to manage details for all special events. This may include:
* Managing receptions for attendees which would require the hiring and coordinating of caterers. *Working with library maintenance staff to ensure events are properly set up. *Ensuring events have appropriate decor. *Working with Board Public Communication Manager to ensure events are announced and communicated with members and the public.
