Volunteer Medical Ride Program Assistant
ORGANIZATION: Four Pointes
Please visit the new page to apply.
This person would fill in for the Medical Ride Program Coordinator when she is out of the office. This could be for a few hours on Tuesdays and Fridays when she is not scheduled in her office. They would also cover for a few hours each day when she is on a scheduled leave.
The volunteer would take phone calls, check voice mails and emails. They would record the information regarding medical rides (and possibly legal appointments). Rides could be scheduled with a driver if the ride is within 1 week of the request or longer if the Program assistant is on leave.
Any urgent issues with an already scheduled ride should be handled by the volunteer, i.e. a rider cancelation, ride time change or a driver calling in for information or help.
Additional duties may include updating records, data entry of rides and assisting with mailings.
The volunteer should have computer skills, good attention to detail, and good phone skills. They will receive training from the Program Coordinator on the specifics of the program protocols.
