Job Summary: The volunteer will help the Program Administrator with organizational and communication duties with 90 ESL students via phone, text messaging, or e-mail.

Essential Functions: The volunteer should be able to interact pleasantly with students. He/she should be able to work independently, and possess a strong command of the English language. Additional duties may be assigned by the Administrator.

Time Required: The hours may adapt to volunteer availability. May be able to work from home. Position is to be filled immediately.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic computer knowledge, plus Google Translate, text messaging and email communication is necessary. Knowledge of Spanish and/or other foreign language languages would be helpful.

Minimum Qualifications: Volunteer must be 21 years or older.

The Glendale Public Library System serves a population of approximately a quarter million citizens, and is composed of three facilities: the Main Library 5959 W Brown Street right next to Peacock Park, the Velma Teague Branch located at 7010 N 58th Ave in the heart of Downtown Glendale, and the Foothills Branch Library, located at 19055 N. 57th Ave near Midwestern University. The Glendale Public Library system is also building the Heroes Park Library on the west side of Glendale, in the Heroes Park complex.
