Volunteers are needed on a weekly basis to work with 5K through 5th grade students during their math class.
Math Mentor will work with 1-3 students at a table in the classroom to help with the day's assignment or to practice math facts. Mentor training and building orientation will be held 10-11:00 am on Wed., February 23. Make what could be a student's most challenging part of their day, the best part. Build a rapport with the students and celebrate their progression.
Morning and Afternoon openings, Monday through Friday, for one hour a week.

Description
The Pewaukee School District boasts 1300+ volunteers. The past 4 years, we have recruited, trained and celebrated a group of academic based volunteers who support our reading and math curriculum. In addition to our Expert Listeners and Math Mentors, we have volunteer help in the classroom, as field trip chaperons, with clerical support and help setting up before concerts and art shows. In 2014-15, our parents, grandparents, local clubs and organizations, churches and community members gave 35,500 hours to "Open the Door To Each Child's Future".
