Domestic Violence ShelterDundalk, MD 21222

We believe that play is a human right that all children deserve, regardless of housing status. Our trained and screened volunteers provide activities and fun for children at an emergency shelter for those who are fleeing domestic violence. Volunteers assist watching children in the playroom while parents are participating in programming to progress toward the goals they established for their stay in the shelter and beyond. Optimally, we have 2-3 volunteers working with around 10-15 children from 1-9 years old. Volunteer support is primarily needed Monday-Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 PM, and we are looking for individuals who can make an ongoing commitment for at least one night a week.
