The Fundraising Director is a true leadership position, providing guidance for the entire chapter, representing ChickTech in the local community, and ensuring all programs are running sustainably.
The perfect candidate for the Fundraising Director understands the importance of obtaining financial resources for a nonprofit in order for the organization to enact its mission. They will have previous fundraising and personal volunteering experience, and are kind, charismatic, trustworthy, diplomatic, and a passion for empowering women.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the development team as a cohesive unit
- Working with web team to ensure sponsorship page is up to date
- Working with ChickTech marketing and outreach team members to increase awareness of the ChickTech organization by e-mail/web marketing, word-of-mouth at local conferences and other events, and other means
- Developing fundraising strategies, which may include organizing fundraising events, web-based fundraising (Kickstarter, indiegogo, etc.), grant applications and others
- Working with marketing team members to develop appropriate solicitation materials and other correspondence and acknowledgements
- Tracking and analyzing past fundraising efforts to measure effectiveness and forecasting for future fundraising needs
- Working with the volunteer management team to build a team to assist in fundraising duties and outreach
- Managing the donor database to ensure contact information is current and donor contact preferences are honored

ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
