As a Hospice Patient Volunteer, you would provide the patient with socialization, companionship and emotional support. But most of all, be available for someone dealing with terminal diagnosis.
Volunteer activities could also include engaging patients with reading, listening to music, playing games, doing crafts, listening to patients' life stories, etc.
Kindred Hospice attempts to assign volunteers to patients close to their home, school or work. Training is provided once volunteers have completed the onboarding requirements. All volunteers my provide proof of their COVID vaccinations.
Kindred Hospice serves the Portland Metropolitan Area. Our office is located at 4500 Kruse Way, Suite 100, Lake Oswego, OR 97035.

Our care teams specialize in pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support for the patient and family. An individualized plan of care is developed for each patient based on comfort care measures needed and the wishes of the patient and family.
