We are looking for volunteers to assist cancer patients and their loved ones in the Cancer Resource Center, located at Summerlin Hospital.
Volunteers will provide free gift items, such as wigs, scarves, and hats, as well as cancer-related information. You will be trained to connect patients with much-needed resources (transportation, lodging etc.)
You will be responsible for filling out paperwork, showing your patient interactions, and keeping the center well-stocked and in order.
Volunteers must complete Summerlin Hospital's volunteer orientation and the American Cancer Society Resource Center training.
Reliability is a must as well as good communication. A minimum of one shift (of 3-4 hours) per week. Due to the training involved, volunteers should take this position for a minimum of six months.

The American Cancer Society also offers several programs to cancer patients, aiming to improve their quality of life - our Quality of Life centers are volunteer-staffed and provide cancer patients with free wigs and other items.
