YOUR IMPACT
With a small kitchen staff, we rely heavily on volunteers to assist us in preparing and serving our meals each day. Volunteers, on a given week, make up 60-80% of our daily staff. Simply put, House of Charity could not operate the Food Centre without their help. In order to better retain volunteers we are looking to recognize the work that volunteers do for House of Charity through photography and storytelling.
As the Food Centre Photographer you will be responsible for helping tell those stories by taking professional and meaningful photos of volunteers, having conversations with those volunteers and assisting our Fund Development and Communications Assistant in sharing those stories with the larger community. This position is an unpaid volunteer position with flexible hours.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
o Take professional photos of volunteer groups on site
o Have conversations with volunteers to learn their story
o Communicate stories with Fund Development and Communications Assistant
o Operate at DSLR camera (preferred you have your own)
