The Single Moms Support Group is a wonderful opportunity for local women to get connected to a group of fellow moms and enjoy time talking together, doing a craft, and eating a hot meal. This group meets on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the school year. Currently, cooks are needed on Tuesdays.
Cooks are a huge part of this group. The women who attend simply love that someone else will cook for them and provide a delicious meal they can enjoy together. Cooks are able to join in the conversations that happen during lunch and get to know the women.
Responsibilities include planning the menu, purchasing food (you will be reimbursed for purchases), preparing the meal (either at our facility or at your home), serving lunch at 12:30, and cleaning up afterwards. Some cooks enjoy coming in with 2-3 friends to volunteer together.
