Community Involvement Programs (CIP) offers a broad scope of programs that help the people we serve live their greatest lives. Our services promote wellness, safety and recovery for people who have mental health diagnoses and/or intellectual disabilities. One of the programs is the Music, Art, Recreation, Inclusion (MARI) program. The goal of the MARI program is to provide a welcoming environment where adults with disabilities who no longer work can feel safe and respected, while still having fun!
The lunch volunteer will help feed one or more participants at the MARI program who have difficulty feeding themselves. In addition to this the volunteer will help create a positive uplifting atmosphere and engage in fun and light conversation with the participants. Lunch volunteers play an important role ensuring that supported individuals receive increased attention and care while at the MARI day program.
