At Arvada Care and Rehabilitation, we have an elderly male resident who LOVES to play Gin Rummy! We would love to find a volunteer or two who would come to the center each week and play cards for 30min-1 hour. He would love to have some companionship (he doesn't have any other friend/family visitors), and would be thrilled to get to play cards each week as he gets to know you! A male volunteer would be best for this position, and since this resident is a big of a night-owl, evening volunteer times would be best. 7-8pm would be ideal, any night of the week. So if you know how to play Gin Rummy, and want to bring some joy to a lonely senior, please consider this position! Let me know if you're interested, and I'll get back to you within 1 business day.
