Our Mission
CollegeCommunityCareer fosters a college-going culture with low income, first generation high school students and families. We prepare students for admission to and graduation from a four year university based on these four pillars: college success, leadership development, civic engagement and career discovery.
Our Program
CollegeCommunityCareer partners with area high schools and students beginning the sophomore year in high school until they have completed a Bachelor’s degree. Our curriculum is based on our 4 pillars and provides organized instruction through 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Our 4 Pillars are:
1. College Success 2. Leadership Development 3. Civic Engagement and 4. Career Discovery
We hold afterschool classes on the students’ school campus for 2 hours a week and host an 8 week summer field experience program for students to see colleges, visit businesses and engage in community service. We also offer college application and ACT/SAT workshops during the year.
Once students have graduated from high school, we student continue to stay in our program until the graduate with their post secondary degree but our contact is through social media, phone/text, and meetings three times a year.
