Massage, Reiki, Healing Touch volunteers help hospice patients feel comfortable

BJC Hospice is looking for licensed massage therapists and Reiki and Healing Touch practitioners who would like to volunteer their services and time for our adult and pediatric hospice program. Most visits will be to patients in their homes, and occasionally to patients in nursing homes or our in-patient hospice facility, Evelyn's House. Most visits focus on relieving patients' pain or anxiety. Visits may be one-time visits, or the volunteer may visit a patient two to four times a month, depending on what the patient needs. Overall, the time commitment is flexible.
Massage therapists must be licensed, and Reiki and Healing Touch practitioners must provide certification or proof of training. Volunteer training will be provided. All BJC HealthCare volunteers must be vaccinated against Covid 19.
