We are going to close down (for the winter) and clean up our community gardens and flower beds.

All levels of skills are welcome since we need to work on a variety of tasks.

We will be behind the Bakhita Center (the former rectory at Holy Rosary-St. John). Address is 648 South Ohio Ave. (between Main and Livingston), Columbus. We will be there from about 8:30 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 27th. Please let us know if you plan to attend, so we can plan for food and supplies that day.

Student and community groups are welcome, but please let us know in advance. Thanks!!

Description

The Community of Holy Rosary & St. John the Evangelist is a center city Roman Catholic Church with a focus on social outreach. Some of the ministries of the church include:

  • Sunday 9:30 a.m. Mass with Gospel Choir
  • St. John Community Center (community center that houses a variety of nonprofits and a health clinic)
  • St. John Food Pantry
  • St. John Learning Center (adult education)
  • community gardens
  • youth ministry
  • senior ministry
  • Martin Luther King Day Celebration
  • Black Heritage Month Celebration
