The Boys & Girls Club of Harlem’s (BGCHarlem) mission is to provide access and opportunity for youth to reach their full potential as responsible members of the community. We believe that success is within reach of every young person that walks through our doors. Our kids benefit from trained, caring professional staff and volunteers who help them take control of their lives, envision productive futures and reach the goals. Crucial to this mission is a record of academic success and improvement. We need your help to ensure our members are receiving the best academic support we can have to offer. Volunteers should display competencies in:

  • Basic understanding of elementary level math, sciences and English.

The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem is committed to providing high academic support and educational help to our members. One of our core values is to increase student achievement, and academic volunteers help us achieve that goal. Volunteers academic support allows our members to learn outside the classroom and get a full understanding of any particular subject.
