Apply for an Assistant Naturalist Internship!
An Assistant Naturalist will work under the direction of a managing Naturalist to help in the nature centers run by the Conservancy. The centers are located at George F. Canyon and White Point Nature Preserves.
Tasks will include working in these Centers during opening hours, supporting onsite education programs, help with maintaining and developing exhibits and educational materials and helping with trail and demonstration garden monitoring and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
-Currently enrolled in a college or university and 18 years or older
-Familiarity with local native plants and animals
-Ability to work independently
-Available to work shifts during Nature Center open hours Wednesday, Saturday Sunday (10-4) or Friday (1-4).

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."

Description

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
