Friends of the Library is a group of people helping the library with collection materials by receiving donations (books, movies, audio CD's, magazines, etc.) from the public. Some of the donations are cataloged into the library's collection. The items that are not cataloged are sold at booksales that the Friends of the Library have quarterly. The money raised from these booksales is used to buy things the library can not pay for out of their annual budget. They also help with purchasing materials needed for the youth programs and adult programs. They have purchased requested items that are needed but not in the library budget.
Library Volunteer duties can vary per location.
