Helping Empower Youth is seeking highly motivated, organized, creative, energetic, and strategic thinkers to facilitate various STEM/STEAM related after school programming. Additionally, the ideal volunteers will come with a background in STEM, STEAM, social services, childcare, education, sociology, and/or psychology, who also have one or more years’ experience working with children in schools, afterschool programs, and camps. Also, they are looking for a long term commitment.
We need support in facilitating our 6 classes - sewing, gardening, mechanical engineering, bicycles, experiment exploration, and IT/Coding.
The After School Leader will cultivate an environment for creative and innovative play amongst elementary students.
Must have availability on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 2:00pm -6:30pm. It is not necessary to be available each Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00 - 6:30 pm.
