ORGANIZATION: Canopy of Neighbors

Meet your community service hours easily on your schedule! Canopy of Neighbors has great community service opportunities that will fit into any college students' schedule. Volunteers are able to assist seniors living in the Buffalo Community of Elmwood village, Delaware District, Hertel area, Allen Town and more.

Volunteer opportunity emails come to you with requests needed from Canopy members. You pick and choose what opportunity you would like to do. Great opportunity for PT, OT, and Nursing students. If you are an art student or physical fitness student we would like to develop an activity around your expertise, please reach out and we will try to customize a volunteer opportunity specifically for you.

Description

Canopy of Neighbors is based on the National "Village to Village" model. We are volunteer-based, assisting seniors, over the age of 62, to be age in place in their homes. Offering transportation options, social events, help with technology, and more.
