ORGANIZATION: Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy

Apply to be a Restoration Program Intern at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy! We are now accepting applications.

The Restoration Program Intern will work under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator to work at various preserves and help maintain and monitor restoration projects. Tasks will include monitoring restoration sites, non-native, and native plant identification, restoration task leadership during events, leadership support at special events, and maintenance of high-priority restoration projects during the week.

Requirements
-currently 18 years or older
-demonstrated leadership skills
-interest in biology, native plant gardening, or restoration ecology or related field
-ability to do substantial amounts of strenuous work in the field
-ability to work independently

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."

Description

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
