The New York Public Library is teaming up with The My Brother's Keeper Alliance (MBKA) to bring access and opportunity to high-school aged youth. We are looking for management-level and executive- level people from NYC-based companies to serve as volunteer mentors.

The goal is to provide select students with an opportunity to be mentored by and exposed to role-models in safe-spaces (library branches) and receive guidance around college access, career planning, soft-skills, and more.

Requirements & Commitment

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • 5:30 – 7:00 PM, once a month from November to May
  • Library Mentors must have at least five years work experience; supervisory experience preferred.
