Mission Statement
The United States Youth Volleyball League's mission is to provide every child between the ages of 7 to 16 a chance to learn and play volleyball in a fun, safe, supervised environment. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage children to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each child. While the program teaches children the skills necessary to excel in the sport of volleyball, the focus remains on participation, cooperation, sportsmanship, responsibility, and, of course, fun!
Description
The United States Youth Volleyball League is a non-profit youth sports organization that helps communities set-up and run community-based volleyball programs for boys and girls ages 7 - 16. Established in 1997 and similarly structured like AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) insomuch as each program depends on volunteer participation to fill volunteer positions such as Site Director, Clinician (Volleyball Instructor), Registration, First Aid, Coach and Assistant Coach. We run over 200 programs every year and service over 10,000 children every year.
