ORGANIZATION: San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles

Fall Internship September - December

The San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles is looking for an intern to join our team during the exciting and eventful finish to our fortieth year.

SJMQT internships provide the opportunity for students to gain professional experience in a museum setting. Applicants will be placed according to their wide variety of the activities that make up the workings of an arts nonprofit.

Interns must have strong writing and communications skills. No particular majors are required, but applicants should have an interest in nonprofit work and the arts. In addition to doing desk work, interns assist in installation for exhibitions and should be comfortable with lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders.

Applicants should either be currently attending college or have graduated within the past five years. Intern commitments are between 15 and 25 hours a week for a minimum of three months. Positions are unpaid, but hours may be exchanged for school credit.

To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume to amy@sjquiltmuseum.org
