Wanted: Accomplished Writer/Storyteller

Do you love people? Love writing? Love storytelling? Jefferson County Public Library is seeking a volunteer to help us tell the Library’s story. You’d be working with a photographer/videographer, meeting with interesting people all over Jefferson County, and working with the Communications team to tell their stories in multiple formats, including print, digital and video.
We see amazing things happen at JCPL every single day, but we just don’t have the capacity to get it all down in formats we can share. We’d love to develop a repository of patron stories for future library promotions.
Skills requested:
- Solid writing skills
- A flair for story-telling
- Good people skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good eye for photography/videography
- Background in journalism, English, marketing or communications preferred
Time commitment:
- Flexible
- 2-3 hours per week preferred
- Duration: ongoing
