Front Desk Administrative volunteers interact directly with clients, either in person or over the phone, providing resource information and referrals. Primary duties include: greeting clients, answering phones, transferring calls, scheduling appointments, data entry, keeping lobby and office area neat, distributing food pantry items and more. Each volunteer who provides Front Desk support at the Women’s Center will receive training in interpersonal and communication skills, office management techniques, dealing with crisis calls, and how to research services not provided by the Women’s Center. Phone and computer skills are necessary. A minimum commitment of 4 hours per week is desired. The office is open Monday to Friday from 9 am-4 pm.
