We offer a wide range of meaningful and engaging ways to support members of the community who are living with dementia. Our programs and services thrive when volunteers are involved - help improve the client experience by lending your social-recreational skills to Alzheimer Durham once a week.
Looking to build new skills or looking for a new experience? We have an amazing team of mentors that are always looking for others willing to learn and grow.
Departments include: physical and social Recreation, Public Education, Family Support Services.
Roles: Minds in Motion, Brain Wave Café, Choir, Arts, Public Speaking, Community Outreach, Marketing, Admin Roles, Committee positions, and Special Events.

Alzheimer Society of Durham Region provides help for today by working with local and regional agencies to meet the needs of people with dementia. We also provide support and education programs for people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia, and their family and professional care partners.
