The Arc of the Capital Area is in need of volunteers to assist clients with developmental disabilities in our Art & Education Program. This is a great opportunity for stay at home parents who have free time during the work week and are looking for a fun and worthwhile cause in which to participate. NO ARTIST SKILLS REQUIRED.
Volunteers assist students by helping them stay on track and engaged, gathering supplies, socializing, and encouraging their independence.
Classes include:
- Mondays: Digital Media
- Tuesdays: Health & Wellness; Performing Arts
- Wednesdays: Urban Garden & Community Involvement; Visual Arts
- Thursdays: Independent Life Skills; Visual Arts
- Fridays: Career Education; Visual Arts

Description
The Arc of the Capital Area provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities through case management, crisis assistance fund, food & clothes pantry, equipment exchange, resource library, special education assistance, respite, support groups, and family & caregiver support. The Arc serves English and Spanish speaking people in the following counties: Travis, Williamson, Hays, and Bastrop.
