The Arc of the Capital Area is in need of volunteers to assist clients with developmental disabilities in our Adult Education Program. This is a great opportunity for seniors and those who have free time during the work week and are looking for a fun and worthwhile cause with which to participate.
Volunteers assist students by helping them stay on track and engaged in the life skills lessons, gathering supplies, socializing, and in some cases even physically guide the hand of some of our less ambulatory or vision impaired clients.
Volunteers are encouraged to participate 8:30-11:30am, 11:30am-2:30pm or for the entire session 8:30am-2:30pm. We ask for a commitment of at least 1 shift per week for a 4 month period.
Visit www.arcaustin.org/get-involved to apply, or feel free to contact Erin Dalby, Education Manager, at edalby@arcaustin.org with any questions.
