DogFest Walk 'n Roll will engage communities across the country in an event that raises money to support the mission, recruits volunteers to help propel the mission, and educates the public about the life-changing work of Canine Companions for Independence, a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.

The DogFest Phoenix Planning Committee is seeking an enthusiastic and social-media savvy person to lead Participant Recruitment efforts! The Participant Recruitment Chair is tasked with reaching out to different sectors, including Canine Companions volunteers, sponsors and the local community, and encouraging them to not only participate in DogFest, but to ask their friends, family and colleagues to register and join them on a team.

* Works with DogFest chair to set a goal for number of teams and individuals to recruit to reach the $50,000 fundraising total.

* Recruits committee members to target recruitment from different sectors including Canine Companions community, Sponsors, and community members.

* Recruits individuals to register and fundraise.

* Provides recruitment and encouraging content to the staff partner to be posted to the Facebook event page by the regional PR coordinator.

* Posts as self to the Facebook event page and invites Facebook friends to the page

Skill Set: Organized, detail-oriented, people-person, motivator

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a week
