The PLEA Foundation is in need of engaging, outgoing and positive volunteers to be Gate Attendants at one of the entrances into the Arts & Apples Festival in downtown Rochester.

The volunteers will be responsible for greeting festival-goers into the park, encouraging them to make a donation for our non-profit, telling them about our non-profit and upcoming events, the festival and Festival FAQ's (Guide will be emailed to volunteer) and putting wristbands on them as they enter.

The event is expected to have over 80,000 in attendance over a 3 day period.
(This position requires standing for majority of the shift; Also, you will have to walk from wherever available parking is to the gate location. Shuttles to the park are available to and from Rochester High School throughout the day)

The PLEA Foundation Inc. is a volunteer-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Troy, Michigan. Our mission is to provide support with training costs and much needed equipment through donations and fundraising to law enforcement professionals, including K9 officers in need.
Our current initiative is to raise funds through donations and fundraisers to purchase K9 Bullet-proof vests for Michigan K9 Officers in need.

Many K9 officers go on duty without the proper equipment necessary for their safety.

Unfortunately, in the three years the Law Enforcement Community has lost over 30 K9 officers due to gunfire / Stabbing assaults that could have been avoided by having the proper safety equipment.
