The Family Help Center provides the only 24/7 Family Helpline in Buffalo, NY for families in crisis. Through the Helpline, callers are linked with appropriate interventions, including crisis home visits at any time of the day or night. For Helpline callers who leave their phone number, one of our counselors calls them back (usually within 24 hours) to: reassess the problem, reiterate program options, follow up on a referral, or encourage a home visit. The Helpline is free of charge to callers, and it can be a lifesaver for families.
Volunteers can answer the Helpline from anywhere once their training is complete. Please make a difference in the life of a child by offering a listening ear to parents who need your guidance!
