VisionTrust is a small faith-based non-profit organization with an international focus, helping children in 17 countries around the world. We currently have two professional volunteer (unpaid) research-based positions available. Marketing Team Research Specialist - Volunteer (unpaid position)
Reports to the Director of Partner Engagement. Flexible, part-time hours.

Working as a member of the Fundraising team, the Marketing Team Research Specialist is responsible for developing key informative reports on fundraising and conducting research on donor giving and trends.

This position involves analytical research to provide meaningful information that will help VisionTrust to effectively work with churches, individuals, and major donors. This role is challenging and well-suited for someone who enjoys the rigor of persistent research and analysis, solving complex problems, and developing and improving reporting methods.

The ideal candidate for this position may have had advanced university studies in computer science, business analysis, or advanced information research. Experience in sales management software (e.g. Salesforce.com) would be a plus.

Operations Team Research Specialist - Volunteer (unpaid position)
Reports to the Operations Coordinator. Flexible part-time hours.

This is a unique opportunity to work with our Operations Coordinator in developing VisionTrust’s strategic planning systems. If you like working on a computer and are adept at researching and writing, we would love to talk with you about this position.

• Research example: What USA-based organizations are currently involved in drilling wells in Liberia? -Stop! Don’t actually research this--because we don’t need to know this information. This is an example of the type of information we might want to have researched. But if you were tempted to dig in, you’re the type of person we would love to have in this role!
• Writing example: So you’ve created a list of Liberia well-drillers? Next step, can you please draft a letter that we can email to those organizations, indicating our desire to discuss the possibly of partnering with them to assist the communities in Liberia in which we have programs? (Again, this is an example, not an actual need, of the type of work you might be asked to assist with. Sound interesting? Please contact us!)
