Sole Train: Boston Runs Together is a community-building and mentoring program that deconstructs impossible by using running as a vehicle for setting and achieving previously unimaginable goals. As a supportive community of caring adults and peers, Sole Train champions young people as they realize their capacity for greatness.
Sole Train teams are based at Boston Public Schools throughout the city and practice twice a week during or after the school day. Teams come together for community building events and races throughout the year, leading up to Sole Train’s culminating goal race: Boston’s Run to Remember, a five-mile race or half marathon. Young Soles (youth participants) receive free race entries, sneakers, shirts and hoodies that they wear with great pride.
We are looking for coaches to join us in Chelsea at Browne Middle School where we will be working with our students to build skills and love of running!
