Preferred Hospice is in need of volunteers in the Aurora, Marionville, and Crane area to visit with our patients. Volunteers are essential to the care of our patients. Volunteers provide emotional support and comfort through the companionship that develops. Reading, writing letters, playing games, are all activities that our patients enjoy. They may also just want someone to sit and hold their hand.
Training and education is provided along with reimbursement for your mileage.

Description
Preferred Hospice is a Missouri-based company comprised of a multidisciplinary team of Healthcare workers who specialize in end-of-life care. Among the senior team are Physician and Nurses who together bring over 50 years of Healthcare experience. We serve patients within an hour radius of our home office in Ozark Missouri.
Volunteers are essential to the Preferred Hospice Team. Direct Patient Volunteers provide companionship to patients while offering emotional support and comfort. Direct Patient Volunteers may also provide respite and assistance to patient caregivers. Office and Administrative Volunteers assist the office staff with many things from mail outs to data entry. Training, education, and mileage reimbursement is provided.
