Diana and Precious

Have a big heart? Love dogs? Enjoy being outdoors and providing hands-on TLC and love for rescued dogs?
==========
2nd Chance Dog Rescue is in need of volunteers to help with the daily morning chores (8-11AM):

  • assisting with cleaning kennels, dog dishes
  • giving fresh water, and
  • if you are handy, help with small repairs.
You would be working alongside the founder's husband, who cares for the sanctuary property and dogs full time. We are hoping we can find some dependable volunteers to help us at rescue. If you live in the East Valley and are willing to get your hands dirty, love being around dogs, and want to give back to animals in need, WE WANT YOU! We are hoping to find one or two dedicated volunteers that would be willing to commit to a day or two a week each.

Please go to our website and fill out a volunteer form: [2ndchance.rescuegroups.org/forms](http://2ndchance.rescuegroups.org/forms)

Mission Statement

We are the champion of the abandoned, neglected and abused - animals that would otherwise have no one. We heal their bodies, hearts, and minds, and then send them on to loving, supportive homes.

Description

2nd Chance Dog Rescue will never turn an unadoptable dog away as long as we have space; we believe every dog deserves a 2nd Chance and in addition to adoptable dogs, we provide sanctuary to many dogs that are too shy, too fearful, or too abused to find happiness in a conventional home. While these dogs are considered "unadoptable," they are, however, extremely loving in their way and deserving of the opportunity to live out their days being treated with respect, love, and care - and they will have all of that with us as long as they live.

We also treat a great many dogs with severe medical issues - with the assistance of our amazing vet, Dr. Darger, we go above and beyond to give the animal the best medical treatment available - cost is never a deciding factor. We will not euthanize unless an animal is suffering and we have exhausted all medical remedies.
